Day of Arafah
The best day to perform dua’a (Supplication) is the day of Arafah *so one should exert himself as much as possible in Dhikr (remembrance of Allah), dua’, and recitation of the Qur’an,* and he should supplicate (also) with different types of dua’, and adhkār.
Moreover he should supplicate for himself, his parents, his relatives, his scholars, his friends, his loved ones and whoever has done good to him, and for all Muslims in general.
*He should be careful that he doesn’t fall short in doing all that because it is not possible to compensate this day with any other day.*
And he shouldn’t exaggerate in rhyming the dua’ and it’s from the Sunnah to lower one’s voice while supplicating.
And he should (also) increase in seeking Allāh’s forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance from all the violations with firm belief and sincerity in heart, he should beseech Allah and repeat the dua’ with great hope and shouldn’t think that the answer to his prayers is slow.
*He should start and end his dua’ by praising Allāh and glorifying Him – Glorified and Exalted be He-, and sending prayers and salutations on the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and also end with it.*
(Lastly,) he should be keen on facing the Qiblah and being in the state of purity.
