The Prophet صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم said:

🔸“As for you leaving your homes aiming for the Bait-ul-Haraam:  then your she-camel does not place its foot nor does it raise it except that Allaah writes for you a reward due to it, and wipes off one of your sins.

.

.
🔹As for the two Rakah after the Tawaaf, then it is equivalent to freeing a slave from the Children of Ismaeel.

.

.

🔸As for your circuiting of as-Safa and al-Marwa, then it is the same as freeing 70 slaves.

.

.
🔹As for you staying till the evening in Arafah, then Allaah descends to the sky of the Duniya and He boasts about you to the Angels, and says:  ‘My slaves have come to Me, looking rough, from every deep valley hoping for My mercy, so if your sins were equivalent to the amount of sand or the drops of rain or like the foam on the sea I will forgive them.  So go forth My slaves!  Having forgiveness and for what or who you have interceded for.’

.

.
🔸As for stoning the Jamaar (the pillars), then for every stone that you throw, it removes a big sin from the deadly sins.

.

.
🔹As for your slaughtering, then it is saved for you with your Lord.

.

.
🔸As for shaving your head, then there is a reward for every strand of hair that you shaved, and a sin is wiped off by it.

.

.
🔹As for you performing Tawaaf of the House after all this, then by this time your are performing Tawaaf with no sin upon you and an Angel comes and places his hand between your shoulders saying: “Perform good deeds in what you face of the future for verily your past sins have been forgiven.”

at-Tirmidhī, Ibn Mājah and Ibn Khuzaymah narrated in one report:

“When the first night of the month of Ramaḍān comes, the devils and rebellious Jinn are chained up and the gates of Hell are closed, and not one gate of it is opened. The gates of Paradise are opened and not one gate of it is closed. And a caller cries out:

يا باغي الخير أقبل ، ويا باغي الشر أقصر ، ولله عتقاء من النار وذلك كل ليلة

‘O seeker of good, proceed (come forth!!); O seeker of evil, desist. And Allāh has those whom He redeems from the Fire, and that happens every night.”
[صحيح الجامع ٧٥٩ ، وحسنه الألباني]

From Abu Hurairah [رضي الله عنه] who said: The Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] used to give good news to his Companions with the arrival of Ramadan, he would say:

«قد جاءكم شهر رمضان شهرٌ مبارك ، كتب الله عليكم صيامه ،فيه تفتح أبواب الجنة وتغلق فيه أبواب الجحيم ، وتغل فيه الشياطين ، فيه ليلةٌ خيرٌ من ألف شهر ، من حُرِمَ خيرها فقد حُرِم.»

❝Indeed the month of Ramadan has arrived, a blessed month. Allaah has prescribed fasting for you. In this month the doors of Paradise are opened and the doors of hell are closed. The devils are shackled. In Ramadan there is a night better than a thousand months, whoever is prohibited from the good in that night then indeed he has been prohibited from good.❞
[Collected By al-Mundhari In Targheeb Wa Tarheeb | Authenticated By Albaani, (1/490)]

Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali said:

❝Some of the scholars said: This hadeeth is a foundation for some people congratulating others with the month of Ramadan.

How can one not give good news to the believer with the doors of Paradise opening.

How can one not give good news to the sinful that the doors of the Hell fire have been closed.
How can one not give good news to the intelligent one with that the devils are shackled.

Where can this time period be compared to any other time.❞

 [Lata’if al-Ma’arif, (1/158)]

°• The Wisdom and Benefits behind Fasting  °•

Imaam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah

~

The objective behind fasting is to restrain the soul from (its) desires and to prevent it from those things, which are beloved to it. And its purpose is to control the soul’s strength, so that it can be prepared to attain what is found in it (the fast) from success and joy for the soul. Through the fast, one curbs his hunger and thirst and is reminded of the condition of the hungry stomachs of needy people. (more…)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi Allahu anhu): Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said,

A: I advise all Muslims to fear Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He), to welcome this great month with sincere repentance from all sins, and to understand more about their Din (religion). One must learn the rulings on fasting and Night Prayer as the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) stated: ”If Allah wants to do good to a person, He grants him understanding of Islam.” [Sahih al-Bukhari]

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) also says: ”When the month of Ramadan arrives, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of the (Hell) Fire are closed, and the devils are chained.” [Sahih al-Bukhari]

Abud-Darda (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “He who follows a path in quest of knowledge, Allah will make the path of Jannah easy to him. The angels lower their wings over the seeker of knowledge, being pleased with what he does. The inhabitants of the heavens and the earth and even the fish in the depth of the oceans seek forgiveness for him. The superiority of the learned man over the devout worshipper is like that of the full moon to the rest of the stars (i.e., in brightness). The learned are the heirs of the Prophets who bequeath neither dinar nor dirham but only that of knowledge; and he who acquires it, has in fact acquired an abundant portion.”

[Abu Dawud and At- Tirmidhi].
