An excerpt taken from the ChapterListening to The ‘Eid Khutbah
~

Al-Haafidh Ibn Battal mentioned in ‘Sharh Saheeh al-Bukhaaree’, vol.2, pg. 572: “The scholars considered the people talking as the Imaam gives the khutbah as being makrooh (disliked).”

Regarding the hadeeth: “Indeed, we will give the khutbah, thus whoever wishes to stay for the khutbah is to sit and stay and whoever wishes to leave, may leave.”

The majority of the People of Knowledge are of the opinion that this hadeeth is mursal and from those scholars who were of this opinion include: Ibn Ma’een, Abu Zur’ah ar-Raazee, an-Nasaa’ee, Abu Daawood, al-Bayhaqee and al-Waadi’ee. And mursal is from the categories of weak hadeeth.

Ibn Rajab (rahimahullaah) said:

“O servants of Allaah, indeed the month of Ramadhaan has prepared to leave, and nothing remains except a few more days.

Whoever has done well during the month should continue to do well, and whoever was deficient, should try to end the month in good, for indeed actions are according to their completion.

Therefore, take advantage of what remains of the month, and give the month the best farewell and peace.”

=== Remember your Muslim Brother and Sisters in Palestine,Syria,Burma and Everywhere in your Dua ===

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

Three supplications will not be rejected (by Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala)), the supplication of the parent for his child, the supplication of the one who is fasting, and the supplication of the traveler.  – [al-Bayhaqi, at-Tirmidhi – Sahih]

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu ‘anhu): Abu-l-Qasim (the Prophet) (ﷺ) said:

On Friday there is a particular time if a Muslim happens to be praying and invoking Allah for something good during that time, Allah will surely fulfill his request.” The Prophet (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) pointed out with his hand. We thought that he wanted to illustrate how short that time was. – [Bukhari Vol. 8 : No. 409]

The hadeeth of Jabir ibn ‘Abdillah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“The day of Friday has twelve hours, in which there is no Muslim slave who asks Allah for anything but He will grant it to him, so seek it in the last hour after ‘Asr.” – [Abu Dawood and an-Nasai]

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“Indeed the fasting person has at the time of breaking fast a prayer (supplication) which is not rejected.” – [Ibn Majah and Al-Hakim]

Excerpt taken from the articleThe Supplication For Laylatul Qadr & Some Points of Benefit Related To It BY ABOO HAATIM M. FAROOQ

Ibn Rajab (rahimahullaah) said:

“Al-‘Afuww (The One Who pardons greatly) is from The Names of Allaah The Most High; and He overlooks the wrongdoings of His servants, He is The One Who erases their trace from them. He Loves to pardon; and so He Loves to pardon His servants, He likewise Loves from His servants that they should pardon each other, so if they pardon each other; He conducts His pardon with them; and His Pardon is more beloved to Him than His Punishment.”[2]

`A’ishah (radhiallahu `anha) reported that she asked Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ), “O Messenger of Allah! If I knew which night is Laylat ul-Qadr, what should I say during it?” And he instructed her to say:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ العَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

“Allahumma innaka `afuwwun tuh.ibbul `afwa fa`fu `annee –

O Allah! You are the Oft-Pardoning,You love to pardon,so pardon me.”
